ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module ESP-07 ESP-12 Breakout Board

A handy breakout board for ESP-07 and ESP-12 with a built-in pull-down resistor on GPIO15 and a pull-up resistor on the EN-pin. The breakout board also has the option of soldering a voltage regulator on it, so that the ESP module can also be used with a supply voltage higher than 3.3V DC.

To use the breakout board with a supply voltage higher than 3.3V DC, a 3.3V voltage regulator and possibly a buffer capacitor of about 100uF are required. For the modification, perform the following steps:

1. Desolder the middle (0Ω) resistor and make sure that the solder pads are no longer connected to each other (open connection).
2. Solder the voltage regulator to the board (solder pads are on the bottom).
3. Place the buffer capacitor between VCC and GND for a more stable operation.
