This sensor can be used as a replacement for a PIR sensor and works on the basis of microwaves and the doppler effect. The sensor can detect movement based on a difference in speed, this also works through almost all materials except metal. When motion is detected, the "OUT" pin is made high for a period as long as the delay time. This sensor also has a UART interface to adjust settings via AT commands (see link at the bottom of this page).
