A powerful step-up converter with current limiter (adjustable constant current) and undervoltage protection, for example to boost your 12V battery to 24V.

Specifications:

  • Module type: Non-isolated step-up (Boost)
  • Rectification: Non-synchronous rectification
  • Input voltage: 10V-50V DC*
  • Input undervoltage protection: 9.7V DC
  • Output voltage: 10V-50V DC*
  • Adjustable output voltage with a potentiometer** indicated with CV (Constant Voltage)
  • Maximum input current: 28A
  • Maximum output current: 20A
  • Adjustable output current with a potentiometer** indicated with CC (Constant Current)
  • No-load current: 20mA
  • Output power: 100W (passive cooling in 20°C air), 600W with a dedicated heatsink and a fan (active cooling in 20°C air)
  • Conversion efficiency: 96% (highest)
  • Switching frequency: 150KHz
  • Output ripple: 270mV (max)
  • Working temperature: -20°C to +65°C
  • 4x 3mm mounting holes
  • Connecting wires: ~10cm 14AWG
  • Short circuit protection: None (a fuse can be used if necessary)
  • Dimensions: 70 x 36 x 17mm

The inputs and outputs are indicated on the PCB of the DC-DC converter. VIN+ and VIN- is the input, VOUT+ and VOUT- is the output.

Note: If you want to be able to convert more than 100W, a dedicated heatsink with fan is required. This must be able to keep the temperature below 65°C.
It is also possible that the converter is placed in a warm/hot room. As a result, a fan may be necessary even if less than 100W is converted.
In any case, the temperature must be kept within the range indicated above.

*Note: For long-term use, we recommend using a maximum input and output voltage of 25V DC to increase the lifetime of the capacitors.

**Note: The potentiometers are multiple turns. It may take a while before you arrive at the desired setting. You can turn a potentiometer about 25 times from start to finish.
