A powerful step-up converter with current limiter (adjustable constant current) and undervoltage protection, for example to boost your 12V battery to 24V.

Specifications:

  • Module type: Non-insulated step-up (Boost)
  • Rectification: Non-synchronous rectification
  • Input voltage: 10V-32V
  • Output voltage: 12V-35V
  • Adjustable voltage with a potentiometer.
  • Maximum input current: 16A
  • Maximum output current: 10A, No-load current 25mA
  • Output power: 100W (passive cooling in 20°C air), 150W with a fan on the heatsink. (active cooling in 20°C air)
  • Conversion efficiency: 96% (highest)
  • Switching frequency: 100KHz
  • Output ripple: 400mV (max)
  • Operating temperature: -40 °C to +85 °C
  • Dimensions: 65 x 47 x 23.5 mm
  • 4x 3mm mounting holes
  • Status LED (red-blue)
  • Short circuit protection: none (you can use a fuse if necessary)

The inputs and outputs are indicated on the circuit board of the DC-DC converter. VI+ and VI- is the input, VO+ and VO- is the output.
The potentiometers are also indicated with UVP (undervoltage protection), CC (constant current) and CV (constant voltage).

Note: If you want to be able to convert more than 100W, a fan is required. This must be able to keep the temperature below the 85 °C.
It can also happen that the converter is placed in a warm/hot room. As a result, it is possible that a fan is required even if it convert less than 100W. The temperature must in any case be controlled within the range specified above.

Note: The potentiometer has several strokes. So it may take a while before you have the correct setting. You can rotate the potentiometer around 25x from start to finish.
