Mean Well Power supply - 12V 12.5A - Switching Power Supply - LRS-150-12

This power supply is very suitable as 12V power supply for step and DC motors or an audio amplifier (on 12V). A total of 150W of output power is enough to turn multiple motors full power or to connect multiple 12V audio amplifiers.

Specifications:

• Input voltage: 85 - 132VAC (110V mode), 170 - 264VAC (230V mode) or 240 - 370VDC (in 230V mode)
• Output voltage: 12V DC
• Maximum output current: 12.5A
• Protection against short-circuit, overload and over-voltage (at the output)

The other specifications are very clearly described in the datasheet. You can find these under the tab "Downloads".

The connections are:

• L (phase wire, brown wire)
• N (Neutral wire, light blue wire)
• Earth (yellow-green wire, connect it for more security if possible)
• 2x -V (That's the GND/ground/min of the 12V)
• 2x +V (That's the plus of the 12V)

In addition, there is another LED that indicates the status (on/off). With the potentiometer (+V ADJ) one can regulate the output voltage a bit.
It is recommended to check the output voltage before connecting the 12 V of the power supply. With the potentiometer, the voltage should be set to 12V as accurately as possible. If you do not have this option, make sure that you do not touch the potentiometer.

The power supply is enclosed in a metal housing. All sides (except the bottom) must be kept free so the heat can be released.
The bottom may be mounted close to material, but not on it. This serves as a cooling surface.

You can mount the power supply at 2 points (top left and bottom right) with 3 mm screws/bolts.

Note: No cables are included. You must connect the 110V/220V cable and 12V cable yourself. How you should connect it is described above.

Note: The power supply on the image is the Mean Well LRS-150-24 power supply. It is the same size and appearance as the LRS-150-12, only a 24V version from the LRS-150 series.
