This door solenoid works with an electromagnet. The spring pushes the pin outwards by default, but the pin is pulled in when the solenoid is activated.

Note: Do not activate the solenoid for more than 5s to prevent the coil in the lock from burning out. After each activation, give the solenoid at least 180s to cool down.
