A servo from WaveShare that can be controlled via serial bus. This servo is ideal for robotics projects as it provides all kinds of feedback such as position*, load, speed and input voltage. In addition, it is also possible to put the servo in "torque lock", which causes the servo to maintains its position by applying force. This servo is very convenient to use in combination with the WaveShare General Driver for Robots.
Because WaveShare uses a serial bus, it is theoretically possible to control 253 servos simultaneously. The servo contains a connector on both sides, making it very easy to connect several servos in "series".
This servo can be used both continuously (motor mode) and with 180° rotation range (servo mode). This does mean that the servo has no mechanical limit, even when used in servo mode.
*If the servo is in motor mode, it is only possible to obtain the position relative to the starting point. This means that when the servo is switched off it forgets what position it was at.
