The Arduino Motor Shield is based on the L298 driver. This module is able to control DC motors, stepper motors, relays and solenoids. 

Specifications:

  • Input voltage: 5-12V DC
  • Motor controller: L298P (for 2 DC motors or 1 stepper motor)
  • Max. current: 2A per channel or a maximum of 4A per channel with external power supply
  • Possibility to measure current via A0 and A1: 1.65V/A
