A driver module specially made for the Flipdigit from Alfa-Zeta. The driver ensures that the coils of the Flipdigit are never activated for too long. Many Flipdigit drivers can be connected to each other. To place two next to each other, you can use 6 of the following jumpers: Jumper 2p

The module requires two separate supply voltages: One is for the driver circuit, via the VCC pin. This is compatible with both 3.3V DC and 5V DC, which means that almost all microcontrollers (such as an ESP32 or Arduino) can be used. Another power supply (19V DC recommended, which can be made with an adjustable DC-DC converter, for example) is required to activate the coils of the Flipdigits. This is connected via the VM pin.

The remaining pins LAT (latch), CLK (clock) and DIN (data in) can be connected to arbitrary output pins of a microcontroller. Don't forget to match the chosen pins in the example code on the page linked below.

Note: The orientation of the Flipdigit in the example code below matters, see the last photo on this page for the correct orientation (Flipdigit is not included).
