Alfa-Zeta S7S Flipdigit - Mechanical Segment Display - 1 Character

A mechanical 7-segment display from Alfa-Zeta. This display consists of 7 mechanical segments with a black and a white side. These segments can be switched very quickly using built-in electromagnets to display different characters. Each coil can be controlled individually with a pulse signal, where the direction of the current determines if the segment is 'set' of 'reset'. Thanks to the built-in permanent magnets, the segments hold their position even without without external power.

Note: The Flipdigit is sensitive to damage during soldering, we therefore only recommend this product to people who have experience with soldering. Soldering instructions: Max 390°C for 1.5s.

Note: The coils can only handle pulses (recommended is a pulse of ~1ms @19V). If voltage is applied continuously, they will burn out. For this reason, we only offer a warranty if the Flipdigit is used in combination with the following Flipdigit driver: Flipdigit Driver
