This development board is based on an ESP32-C3 with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE. This board also has a battery charging circuit, so you can easily power it with a Li-Po/Li-ion battery. In addition, despite the smaller dimensions, this board is compatible with existing D1 Mini Shields.

If the Wi-Fi connection is unstable it can help to lower the transmission power, with the Arduino IDE you can do this for example by adding the following line to the setup:

WiFi.setTxPower(WIFI_POWER_8_5dBm);
