EasyCAT EtherCat Shield - for Arduino

The EasyCat Shield is an EtherCat shield that can be used to make an EtherCat Slave from an Arduino. EtherCat is a modification of the well-known Ethernet protocol and offers the possibility to connect a bus of devices. Watch this video for a short explanation about EtherCat. The EasyCat communicates with the Arduino via SPI. For this there are extra long pins on the EasyCat shield that correspond to the location of the SPI male pins of the Arduino. Additional cables will therefore not be necessary. When using a microcontroller that does not have a special SPI connection, it is possible to use the EasyCat pin 11, 12 and 13 for SPI.
