MP3 Shield VS1053 - Uno-Mega

With this MP3 shield you can play various formats of music and have it controlled by your Arduino.
The music is on a micro-SD card that you can place in the micro-SD card holder on the shield.
In addition to playing music, this shield can also record music with the build-in microphone or an external microphone.

Specifications:

• Uses SPI interface
• Has a 3.5mm female (stereo) audio jack for output and microphone input. (two separate 3.5 mm connections)
• Has a build-in microphone for sound recording
• Compatible with the Arduino Uno and Mega
• Has a micro-SD card holder (the chip on the shield supports FAT16 and FAT32)

• Only works on 5V DC.

The following formats are supported for sound playback:

• Ogg Vorbis
• MP3 = MPEG 1 & 2 audio layer III (CBR+VBR+ABR)
• MP1 & MP2 = MPEG 1 & 2 audio layers I & II optional
• MPEG4/2 AAC-LC (+PNS), HE-AAC v2 (Level 3) (SBR + PS)
• WMA4.0/4.1/7/8/9 (5-384 kbps)
• FLAC lossless audio (only with software plugin, up to 24 bits, 48kHz)
• WAV (PCM + IMA ADPCM)
• General MIDI 1/SP-MIDI format 0

The following formats are supported for sound recording:

• Ogg Vorbis (with software plugin)
• IMA ADPCM
• 16-bit PCM
