A very compact barometer that works with I2C or SPI. The BME280 is an 3-in-1 module that can measure temperature, pressure and humidity.

The module can only be powered with 3.3VDC. The I2C/SPI only works on 3.3V, therefore a level converter is required when using a 5V Arduino. Or the level converter version can be used.

The module uses I2C by default and the default I2C address of this module is 0x76. This may need to be changed from 0x77 to 0x76 in the example code / library. If you connect the SDO pin with Vcc, then the I2C address becomes 0x77.
If you want to use the module with SPI, you have to connect the CSB pin to GND.

Notice: The picture is based on the BMP280 module, but the supplied module has a BME280.

Mooie sensor voor een mooie prijs. Let op de sensor kan I2C addres 0x76 of 0x77 hebben. Adafruit breakouts en Sparkfun breakouts hebben adres 0x77. Die TinyTronics mij stuurde heeft adres 0x76. Dus moet je bij de Adafruit library het adress meegeven in de sketch: bme.begin(0x76); In de sketches van van Sparkfun staat duidelijk een adres aangeven en moet je ook even aanpassen op deze manier: mySensor.setting.I2Caddress = 0x76; Met beide libraries werkt de sensor prima.
