Waveshare 2-CH Triac HAT - AC Dimmer - 2 Channels - for Raspberry Pi

This Waveshare triac HAT for the Raspberry Pi is suitable for switching/dimming mains voltage. The HAT is designed for Raspberry, but also works with other microcontrollers such as an Arduino or ESP via the external pin headers.

The module works on the basis of phase cutting: The microcontroller determines which part of the sine wave is terminated. This allows the output to be dimmed. Note: This dimming method is not suitable for every device.

*Note: During continuous use (at high power) it is recommended to actively cool the module to keep the triacs below 50°C to extend the lifespan.

Note: Always be careful when touching this module during or after using it (even after the mains voltage has been disconnected). High temperatures and/or voltages can be/remain present. To prevent contact it can be wise to put the module in an insulating housing.
