This shield works fine with a wemos d1 on it's own, but keep in mind that on the 1.1.0 version of this module, the CS pin is permanently pulled LOW.

If you try to use it in combination with another SPI device, it won't work because the SD chip is always listening. This isn't the case on the later versions.
